Tetbury, five minutes from Chavenage, is a beautiful historic Costwold stone wool town, and it welcomes visitors with a range of fine hotels and restaurants, antique shops and boutiques. Westonbirt Arboretum is just down the road, a 600 acre collection of fine trees, or of course you could do your own tour of the Cotswolds as part of the weekend.

The Close is a period hotel right in Tetbury town centre. You'll be able to leave your car overnight in the hotel's secure car park, and if you wish you could eat in the hotel's really excellent Garden Room. The hotel's just been refurbished, and is splendid.
Calcot Manor is even more sumptuous, an award winning hotel planned around a former farmhouse, set in its own 220 acre estate. Just five minutes from both Tetbury and Chavenage, you could also book into the luxurious Calcot Spa on Saturday for a day or half-day. You need to make your booking directly with Calcot Manor.
